Tanja Planinsek Rucigaj

Tanja Planinsek Rucigaj is dermatovenerologist from 2001. In 2003 she was elected for the assistant to the subject of dermatovenerology on Medical Faculty in Ljubljana. Since 2009 she is a lecturer at the College of Health Care Jesenice, now Faculty of Health Angela Boskin. In 2015 she was finished two years study of lymphology at European e-Lymph school- european subspecialisation of lymphology (European Join degree). She finisehed specialization of phlebology at European Colege for Phlebology and she is as european fellow of chronic wounds (EAFWH). Since April 2009 she is a Head of Dermatovenerology Clinic, University Medical Centre Ljubljana. She completed her PhD in October 2018 on the field of genetics at lymphoedema. From 2006-2014 she was the president of the Association of Slovenian Dermatovenerologists. Since 2008 she was a Vice President of Balkan Venous Forum, now from 2021 is president. Between 2011-2015 she was a president of Wound Management Association Slovenia, than a vice-president to Jan 2017 and from March 2019 again a president of the same association for 4 years, now again vice-president. From 2016 she is a president of Slovenian association of phlebology and lymphology. She is a member of the Expert Council of the Slovenian Association of Vascular Disease and a member of the extended expert college for dermatovenerology at the Ministry of Health of Slovenia. From June 2019 she was 3 years a member of Board Council of European Wound management Association. She was a representativ for Slovenia in UEMS for »Dermatovenereology« and now is a representativ of Slovenia for »MJC Wound Healing«. She is treasurer in UEMS for Wounds Healing »MJC Wound Healing« (since 2022), a member of Board Council of EAFWH, a treasurer at ECoP and board council member of ECoP. She is a representative of Slovenia in the VASCERN network, in the ERN network of rare diseases in Europe, in the part of PPL, ie the network for primary pediatric lymphedema. She is also a member of EWMA Wound Centre Endorsement Committee since 2022 and a member of “Compression group” at EWMA. She is a member of the Working Group for the preparation of a development strategy for the field of chronic wounds, ostomies and incontinence until 2035 at the Ministry of Health. She has more than 1300 entries in Co-operative Online Bibliographic System/Servis.
